Recently, I was looking through the prices of PV panels and ran across sites selling them for as low as $0.58/W. In 2008 the cheapest I found was about $6/W. Add roughly $3/W for installation and grid tie in and the cost is down to $3.58/W from $9/Watt less than 4 years ago.
