This is a personal opinion seed and not a news seed. I find it shameful that as a nation we have the need for organizations like this one in order to get our veterans the help and support they EARNED on the battlefield at OUR request. I think every American should be mortified that we are not providing the services to meet these needs of our veterans without the need to BEG for the funds.

These people have willingly put themselves in harms way for all of us and yet we can not or will not make a small sacrifice in money to meet our moral obligations to them and their families when they suffer mental, psychological, and physical injuries in the performance of those requests.
We should be ashamed that these ads have to be seen on our media. We should be ashamed that we are not adequately providing these services as a matter of course and have to rely on third party organizations to plead and beg for the resources to meet what should be all of our responsibility to these people that have sacrificed so much on our behalf.

If this is the extent of American patriotism and national pride in our political system, then maybe it is time for the US to become a third rate country.
