Civilian Service Recognition Act of 2011 - Requires the head of an executive agency to furnish a U.S. flag to drape the casket of an employee who was killed while performing official duties or because of his or her status as a federal employee. Provides that such flag shall be furnished at the request of the next of kin or a close friend or associate of the employee and presented in the same manner as a flag for a deceased member of the Armed Services who dies while on active duty.
This is an example of my representatives idea of what is important government action at this time in our country. A damn bill to give a flag on the coffin of a deceased federal employee. Dick, do you really think this is the best use of your time and the time of Congress with real unemployment hovering in the 20% range? Or how about your support for that meaningless waste of time "official motto" bill? What a waste of time and effort. Quit wasting our time with this shit.
W e have real problems that require the energies of Congress. Quit the vacation fun and games and get to work. I live in the 24th congressional district of NY. And as one of your employers, I am telling you to quit playing "solitaire" on the company computer and get your ass to work.
How about getting a damn clue and funding the rebuilding of Americas infrastructure or anything else that will put people to work for a living wage. How many bridges in this district are in need of repair? How many schools are current in technology and have 25 or fewer students in a class? How about introducing some legislation to wean us off our dependency on foreign oil. Have you introduced legislation to cut the subsidies and tax breaks to oil, gas, coal, and nuclear energy; or do you think that much socialism is okay?
I see you have voted for upping the dollar amounts in some 1930s financial sector regulations. That is okay, but I don't see the urgency considering the current economic situation we are in. I think you could find better uses for your time, like telling other members of the House to act on the ECONOMY.
And where is your legislation to reverse the growing income and wealth disparity that caused the malaise of the 2000s and the collapse of 2008? You don't think you were sent to Washington to suck Boehner's Koch do you?
How about some legislation to standardize renewable energy buy back by Utilities across the nation. Or legislation to stop discriminating against domestic manufacturing in favor of foreign based manufacturing? Or do you think it is alright to kill foreign nationals through the lack of worker safety and no environmental safety so that we have cheaper products? Products like tainted dogfood, poisonous toothpaste , and lead paint toys for our kids. Or is it because it will cut into the profits of the 1%?
